  • 2 cups cereal (Cheerios or any crispy cereal of choice)
  • 6 tablespoons almond butter
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup (or honey or brown rice syrup) Can substitute with honey or brown rice syrup.

Preparation

  • Line a baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine your cereal, almond butter, and maple syrup and mix until combined.
  • Transfer the mixture to the lined pan and press firmly into place.
  • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up. Once firm, slice into bars.

Notes

Make sure to press the mixture firmly into the pan for compact bars. You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less syrup. Consider adding a pinch of salt or cinnamon for added flavor. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week, or freeze for longer storage. Customizable with dried fruits, nuts, or chocolate chips.
