Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 2 pieces bananas (green or yellow, not ripe) Choose slightly green or just ripe bananas for the best texture.
  • 2 teaspoons avocado oil (or olive oil)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes at 300 degrees F.
  • Peel and slice the bananas into slices 1/4 inch in thickness. Place the banana slices in a large bowl.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon and oil.
  • Pour the cinnamon oil over the bananas and carefully mix together so the banana slices are coated.

Cooking

  • Place banana slices in a single layer in your air fryer (you may need to do 2 batches) and cook for 25-28 minutes at 300 degrees F, flipping halfway through cooking time.
  • Remove from the air fryer basket and let cool for 5-10 minutes to help the banana chips crisp up.

Notes

These banana chips can be enjoyed on their own or served with yogurt, oatmeal, or a dip like peanut butter for added flavor. Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for about 3-4 days. For longer freshness, store in the fridge in a container that allows airflow.
