There’s something about grilled cheese that feels like home, right? And when you add creamy avocado, fresh tomato slices, and stretchy mozzarella — it becomes a whole new level of cozy. This avocado mozzarella and tomato grilled cheese is sunshine between two buttery slices of bread.
good breadsourdough or thick white for toasty crispness
mozzarellafresh slices or shredded
tomato slicesripe and thinly sliced
avocadosoft and spreadable or sliced
butter or mayofor golden crust

Instructions
Slice the tomato and mozzarella. Scoop or slice your ripe avocado. Butter (or mayo) the outsides of your bread.
Layer mozzarella, tomato slices, and avocado on the inside of one bread slice. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and fresh basil if using. Top with the second slice.
Place the sandwich in a skillet over medium-low heat. Cook slowly — about 4–5 minutes per side — until the bread is golden and the cheese is fully melted. Press gently with a spatula for even browning.
Let it cool for a minute, then slice diagonally. Serve warm!
Notes
Best eaten fresh for optimal texture. For a caprese twist, drizzle with balsamic glaze before serving.
