Sandwich Ingredients

  • good bread sourdough or thick white for toasty crispness
  • mozzarella fresh slices or shredded
  • tomato slices ripe and thinly sliced
  • avocado soft and spreadable or sliced
  • butter or mayo for golden crust
  • salt & pepper
  • fresh basil optional, for caprese vibe

Instructions
 

  • Slice the tomato and mozzarella. Scoop or slice your ripe avocado. Butter (or mayo) the outsides of your bread.
  • Layer mozzarella, tomato slices, and avocado on the inside of one bread slice. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and fresh basil if using. Top with the second slice.
  • Place the sandwich in a skillet over medium-low heat. Cook slowly — about 4–5 minutes per side — until the bread is golden and the cheese is fully melted. Press gently with a spatula for even browning.
  • Let it cool for a minute, then slice diagonally. Serve warm!

Notes

Best eaten fresh for optimal texture. For a caprese twist, drizzle with balsamic glaze before serving.
