  • 1.5 cups chocolate cookie crumbs Use store-bought or crush your favorite chocolate cookies.
  • 0.25 cups butter, melted This helps bind the cookie crumbs.

Cheese Mixture

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Make sure it’s softened for easy blending.
  • 0.5 cups powdered sugar Adds the right amount of sweetness.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Brings warmth and depth to the flavors.
  • 1.5 cups whipped topping or whipped cream For that fluffy texture.

Pudding Layer

  • 1.5 cups chocolate pudding (store-bought or homemade) Chocolaty and luscious, it’s the star of the show.
  • 1 cup chopped dark chocolate or chocolate chunks Add a crunchy texture.

Garnish

  • to taste fresh raspberries Optional for garnish, adds color and tartness.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Mix chocolate cookie crumbs with melted butter in a bowl, then set aside.
  • In another bowl, beat softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Fold in 1 cup of whipped topping gently.

Layering

  • Layer cookie crumbs at the bottom of the trifle dish, followed by a layer of the cream cheese mixture.
  • Spread a layer of chocolate pudding over the cream cheese mixture.
  • Repeat the layers: cookie crumbs, cream cheese mixture, and chocolate pudding.
  • Top with the remaining whipped topping and sprinkle with chopped dark chocolate.
  • Garnish with fresh raspberries if desired.

Chill

  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

This dessert can be prepared a day in advance. It stores well in the fridge for up to 3 days.
