Ingredients
  

For the Salmon

  • 4 pieces salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 1.5 tablespoons olive oil For brushing on the salmon
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning Adjust to taste for spice level
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt Adjust to taste
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper Adjust to taste
  • 0.5 pieces lime (juice) Juiced

For the Creamy Avocado Lime Sauce

  • 1 pieces ripe avocado
  • 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice Can use juice of the lime from the first ingredient
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro Optional

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400F (200C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  • Pat the salmon fillets dry and place them skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  • In a small bowl, mix olive oil, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  • Brush this mixture evenly over the top of each salmon fillet and finish with a squeeze of fresh lime juice.

Baking

  • Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.

Sauce Preparation

  • While the salmon is baking, blend the avocado, Greek yogurt, lime juice, minced garlic, and olive oil in a food processor until smooth.
  • Stir in chopped cilantro if using.

Serving

  • Serve the baked Cajun salmon warm, drizzled with the creamy avocado lime sauce. Garnish with extra lime wedges if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in airtight containers in the refrigerator, keeping the salmon and sauce separate. Consume within 2-3 days for best taste.
