Ingredients
  

For the Sandwiches

  • 4 rolls Italian hoagie rolls Choose fresh rolls for best flavor.
  • 4 oz salami Thinly sliced.
  • 4 oz capicola Thinly sliced.
  • 4 oz mortadella Thinly sliced.
  • 8 oz mozzarella cheese Sliced or shredded.
  • 8 oz provolone cheese Sliced.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil Drizzled for flavor.
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning To taste.
  • 1 tsp salt To taste.
  • 1/2 tsp pepper Freshly ground.

For the Toppings

  • 1 cup lettuce Shredded.
  • 1 large tomato Sliced.
  • 1 small onion Thinly sliced.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Slice the Italian hoagie rolls in half lengthwise without cutting all the way through.
  • Layer salami, capicola, and mortadella on the bottom half of each roll.
  • Add slices of mozzarella and provolone cheese on top of the meats.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the fillings and sprinkle with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Place the top half of the rolls on the sandwiches.

Baking

  • Wrap the sandwiches in aluminum foil and bake for 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven, unwrap, and add lettuce, tomato, and onion as desired.
