Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs Use plain or seasoned for extra flavor.
  • 1/2 cup flour Can substitute with almond or chickpea flour.
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • as needed cooking spray or olive oil For spraying or drizzling.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In one bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until fully incorporated.
  • In another bowl, place the beaten eggs.
  • In a third bowl, add breadcrumbs.

Coating the Chicken

  • Dip each piece of chicken first in the flour mixture, shaking off excess flour.
  • Then, coat it in the egg before finally dipping in the breadcrumbs, ensuring that each piece is fully covered.

Baking

  • Place the coated chicken pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Spray lightly with cooking spray or drizzle with olive oil.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through, flipping halfway through.

Serving

  • Serve as an appetizer or main dish with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

For maximum crispiness, use a wire rack to elevate the chicken on the baking sheet. You can coat them a few hours before cooking for better flavor.
