  • 30 pieces Oreo cookies (Double Stuf)
  • 40 pieces candy eyes
  • ¾ Cup mini semisweet chocolate chips Reserve ¼ cup for decoration

Preparation

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Separate 10 Oreo cookies in half to get 20 halves, scraping off the cream with a knife.
  • Break the remaining 20 Oreo halves without cream in half and pair them by size.
  • Melt ½ cup of chocolate chips in a small microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.

Assembly

  • Attach wings to an Oreo half with cream by using melted chocolate to stick them together, topping it with another Oreo half.
  • Use a toothpick to apply melted chocolate on the bat’s head and add 2 chocolate chips for horns.
  • Place melted chocolate near the center of the cookie for eyes and stick chocolate chips on.
  • Repeat this process with remaining cookies.
  • Let the chocolate set completely before serving.
  • Refrigerate if desired to speed up the setting process.

Notes

Store Bat Oreos in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. For longer storage, refrigerate in an airtight container.
