Ingredients
  

Beef and Marinade

  • 1 lb beef (sirloin or flank steak), thinly sliced Use sirloin or flank for best results.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce Can be substituted with soy sauce.
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Vegetables

  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (bell peppers, broccoli, snap peas, carrots) Feel free to customize with your favorites.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

Cooking Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil Divided into two portions for frying.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust according to preference.
  • Cooked rice or noodles (for serving) Your choice of serving.

Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes.

Cooking

  • Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned, about 2-3 minutes. Remove beef and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of oil and minced garlic. Stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add the mixed vegetables and stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until vibrant and tender-crisp.
  • Return the beef to the skillet, mix well, and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until heated through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve hot over cooked rice or noodles.

Notes

Serve the stir fry hot, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. It's a great dish for casual dinner parties or family gatherings. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
