Ingredients
  

Peanut Butter Filling

  • 1/2 cup peanut butter or any nut butter like almond butter Use creamy for best texture.
  • 1 Tbsp. softened butter (optional) Helps with texture.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar Add gradually; might need a little more or less.
  • 1/2 tsp. salt Enhances flavor.

Chocolate Coating

  • 1 cup milk chocolate candy melts Can substitute with chocolate chips.
  • 1 cup dark chocolate Use a combination of bars and chips.

Preparation

  • In a medium bowl, combine the peanut butter, salt, and softened butter (if using).
  • Gradually add the powdered sugar until it forms a dough with a 'playdough' consistency.
  • Melt your chosen chocolate using a microwave in bursts of 25 seconds, or using a double boiler.

Assembly

  • Fill the bottom of each paper cup with melted chocolate.
  • Form the peanut butter mixture into discs and place on top of the chocolate layer.
  • Pour a top layer of chocolate over the peanut butter discs.
  • Refrigerate for 20 to 30 minutes until chocolate sets.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week, or freeze for three months separated with parchment paper. Add flavors like vanilla extract or cocoa powder for variation.
