Ingredients

Dough

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Filling

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Glaze

  • 1/4 cup icing sugar for drizzling

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the Blackstone griddle to medium heat (around 375°F).
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  • In another bowl, mix the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract until fully blended.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and combine until a soft dough forms. Do not overmix.
  • On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
  • Spread melted butter generously over the surface of the rolled-out dough.
  • Sprinkle the brown sugar and ground cinnamon evenly across the buttered dough.
  • Starting from one edge, roll the dough tightly into a log.
  • Slice the log into equal rolls, about 1 to 1.5 inches thick.

Cooking

  • Place the rolls onto the preheated griddle and cover with a lid.
  • Cook for about 10-15 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Transfer the rolls to a serving plate and drizzle with icing sugar before serving.

Notes

These rolls are best served warm. Consider adding more icing sugar or chopped nuts for texture. Pair with coffee or milk for an indulgent experience. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
