  • 1 cup fresh blueberries Use fresh for best flavor.
  • 1 cup white chocolate chunks
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened At room temperature for easier mixing.
  • 1/4 cup blueberry jam
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened At room temperature for easier mixing.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg At room temperature.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour Or gluten-free flour blend if desired.
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
  • In another bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the creamed butter mixture, stirring gently.
  • Carefully fold in the fresh blueberries and white chocolate chunks.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Make a small indentation in the center of each cookie with your thumb and fill with cream cheese and a touch of blueberry jam.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are soft.
  • Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-5 days or freeze for up to 3 months. To revive, thaw or microwave for a few seconds.
