  • 1 package puff pastry Thawed
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup blueberries Fresh
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Dust a clean surface with flour and roll out the puff pastry until it’s about 1/8 inch thick. Cut it into squares, roughly 4x4 inches.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  • Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square, followed by a few blueberries.
  • Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling to form a pocket. Pinch the edges to seal and brush the tops with beaten egg.

Baking

  • Arrange the filled pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and puffed up.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before dusting with powdered sugar, if desired.

Notes

Serve pastries warm for the best experience. They can be elevated with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
