Salad Ingredients

  • 4 cups Fresh broccoli, chopped Use fresh for best flavor.
  • 6 slices Smoked bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup Red onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup Sliced almonds Can garnish with extra for serving.

Dressing Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise Can substitute with Greek yogurt for a healthier twist.
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Vinegar Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Pepper

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine chopped fresh broccoli, cooked and crumbled smoked bacon, diced red onion, and sliced almonds.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together mayonnaise, sugar, vinegar, salt, and pepper to create the dressing.
  • Pour the dressing over the broccoli mixture and toss until well combined.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a vegan version, omit the bacon and use a vegan mayo substitute. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days. Stir well before serving.
