Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened Make sure the butter is softened to room temperature for easier mixing.
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs You can substitute with digestive biscuits or ground oats.

Topping

  • 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips For a thicker chocolate layer, increase to 2 cups.
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil Optional, for melting chocolate.

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter and softened butter until smooth.
  • Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
  • Stir in the graham cracker crumbs until well combined.
  • Press the mixture firmly into a lined 9x9-inch baking pan.

Topping

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using). Heat in 30-second increments, stirring in between, until melted and smooth.
  • Pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter layer in the pan and spread evenly.

Chilling

  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until set.
  • Cut into bars and serve.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about a week. For longer storage, freeze for up to three months, ensuring to wrap well to prevent freezer burn.
