Ingredients
  

Meat

  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound ground pork

Vegetables

  • 4 cups chopped cabbage
  • 1 piece bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 medium carrot, julienned
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

Sauces

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Can use tamari for a gluten-free option.
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce

Seasoning

  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • as needed Green onions for garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Heat the sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until shimmering, about 1-2 minutes.
  • Add the ground beef and pork to the skillet. Cook, stirring occasionally until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and sliced onion, cooking until the onions are translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Incorporate the bell pepper and julienned carrot. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until softened.
  • Fold in the chopped cabbage, stirring constantly, until the cabbage wilts, approximately 5 minutes.
  • Pour in the soy sauce and oyster sauce, ensuring all ingredients are well-coated. Cook for an additional minute.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
  • Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. For a crunchy texture, add the cabbage towards the end of cooking.
