Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and brown sugar. Cream together until smooth.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture onto a serving plate or shallow bowl.
  • Drizzle the caramel sauce over the cream cheese layer generously.
  • Sprinkle toasted pecans on top.
  • Serve immediately or chill in the fridge for later. If chilled, let sit at room temperature for 20-30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Variations include adding cinnamon or nutmeg, substituting nuts, and swirling in chocolate. This dip is great with crisp apple slices or other seasonal fruits. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days; use as a topping for pancakes or ice cream if you have leftovers.
