Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Wet Ingredients

  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 tbsp butter melted

Cheese & Herbs

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend
  • 1 tbsp parsley chopped (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder.
  • In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add the milk and melted butter. Stir until smooth and well combined.
  • Slowly mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in the shredded cheese and parsley if using. Do not overmix.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 45 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the bread cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Slice and enjoy warm!

Notes

For best results, use freshly grated cheese rather than pre-shredded cheese, which contains anti-caking agents that may affect texture.
Customize your cheese blend with gouda, parmesan, or pepper jack for extra flavor.
Brush the top with melted butter after baking for an extra glossy finish.
