Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef Use lean ground beef for a lighter option.
  • 1 cup onion, chopped Adds flavor to the dish.
  • 2 cups macaroni Cook al dente.
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded Can substitute with other cheese varieties.
  • 2 cups beef broth For added depth of flavor.
  • 1 cup milk Use regular or plant-based milk as preferred.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large pot, heat over medium heat. Add the ground beef and chopped onion, then cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  • To the pot, add the macaroni, beef broth, milk, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine all ingredients.

Cooking

  • Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Let it simmer for about 10-12 minutes, stirring every few minutes until the macaroni is tender and has absorbed most of the liquid.
  • Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until it melts completely and becomes creamy throughout the mixture.

Serving

  • Serve the casserole hot, and enjoy your cheesy meal!

Notes

For best results, garnish with fresh herbs or a dollop of sour cream. Pairs well with garlic bread or a fresh garden salad.
