  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese Or a mix of your favorite cheeses.
  • 1/2 cup sour cream Optional for serving.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Rinse the baby potatoes well to remove any dirt and cut them in half or quarters.
  • Cut the smoked sausage into 1/4-inch thick rounds.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add the halved baby potatoes and drizzle them with olive oil. Sprinkle half of the seasoning mixture over them and toss to coat.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease it lightly.

Cooking

  • Spread the seasoned potatoes on the baking sheet in a single layer.
  • Arrange the sliced smoked sausage over the potatoes.
  • Roast in the oven for 35-40 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the mixture and return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes until cheese is melted.
  • Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve hot.
