Ingredients
  

For the Puppy Chow

  • 3.4 ounces cheesecake pudding mix
  • 3 ounces cherry gelatin mix
  • 1 cup plus 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 8 cups rice square cereal (like Chex)
  • 1 pound container vanilla bark Can be replaced with dark chocolate for richer flavor.
  • Optional: red and pink sprinkles Adjust amount based on preference.

Preparation

  • Line a large baking sheet with foil.
  • In a large zip-top bag, add the pudding mix, gelatin mix, powdered sugar, and optional sprinkles. Mix to combine and set aside.
  • Measure the cereal into a large bowl.

Melting Chocolate

  • Keep the vanilla bark in its tray and place it in the microwave.
  • Microwave for 1 minute, stir, and heat for an additional minute until melted.

Coating Cereal

  • Pour the melted chocolate over the cereal and stir until the cereal is completely coated.
  • Dump the coated cereal into the bag with the powdered sugar mixture, and shake until all the cereal is coated.
  • Pour the mixture onto the large foil-covered pan to set.

Notes

Store in a covered container for up to 2 weeks at room temperature. For a crunchier texture, let the Puppy Chow sit a little longer to set. It's also great served in individual bags for guests.
