Ingredients
  

For the Marinade

  • 1 lb chicken thighs Cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 cloves garlic Minced
  • 2 tbsp sake Optional
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce Use tamari for gluten-free
  • 2 tbsp vegetarian oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp neutral oil (e.g., avocado oil)
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

For the Glaze

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey

For Assembly

  • 4 stalks green onions Cut into pieces

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cut chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces and marinate them with garlic, sake, soy sauce, vegetarian oyster sauce, neutral oil, and sesame oil for at least 30 minutes.
  • Thread the marinated chicken and green onion pieces onto skewers.

Grilling

  • Grill the skewers over medium heat, turning occasionally until cooked through.

Glazing

  • In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce and honey to create a glaze. Brush the glaze on the skewers during the last few minutes of grilling.

Serving

  • Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Marinate the chicken longer for more flavor. Soak wooden skewers in water for 20-30 minutes before grilling to prevent them from burning.
