Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine the ground chuck, sour cream, ranch dressing mix, crumbled bacon, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until well combined. Avoid overmixing.
  • Form the mixture into 6 evenly sized hamburger patties. Press a small dimple in the center of each patty.

Cooking

  • Grill the patties to your desired doneness over medium heat, using a grill pan, outdoor grill, or a skillet.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check internal temperatures: 130-135°F for medium-rare, 140-145°F for medium, and 160°F for well-done.
  • Let the burgers rest for a few minutes after cooking.

Serving

  • Serve the burgers on buns with lettuce, tomato, mustard, and mayo. Consider adding pickles or onions.
  • Toast the buns for enhanced texture.

Notes

For best results, avoid pressing down on the patties while grilling to keep them juicy. You can prepare the mixture ahead of time and store it in the fridge.
