For the Bites

  • 1 can crescent roll dough (8-count) This flaky dough provides the perfect vessel for our cream cheese filling while creating a lovely golden crust.
  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened) Make sure it's softened for a smooth texture—nobody likes a lumpy filling!
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar This adds just the right amount of sweetness to balance the tartness of the cranberries.
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract A splash of vanilla adds a comforting aroma and enhances the overall flavor.
  • ½ cup whole berry cranberry sauce Use fresh or store-bought—either way, it brings a burst of color and tartness to each bite!
  • Optional: chopped pecans or orange zest for topping Add a sprinkle of pecans for a crunchy texture or orange zest for a zesty kick!

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  • Grease or line a mini muffin tin.
  • In a bowl, combine the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and fluffy.
  • Carefully unroll the crescent roll dough and cut each triangle in half to form smaller triangles. Press these into the muffin cups.
  • Spoon in 1 tsp of cream cheese filling followed by 1 tsp of cranberry sauce into each dough-lined cup.
  • If desired, top with chopped pecans or a sprinkle of orange zest.
  • Bake for 11–13 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let the bites cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Make sure your cream cheese is room temperature for easy blending. For extra crispy edges, place the muffin tin on the lower rack of the oven for the last 5 minutes of baking. Check your bites a couple of minutes early, as every oven is different.
