For the Filling

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened Soften at room temperature for easy mixing.
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar Adds sweetness to the filling.
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract Enhances flavor.
  • ½ cup whole berry cranberry sauce The star ingredient; use your favorite brand or homemade.

For the Bites

  • 1 can crescent roll dough (8-count) Forms the base of the bites.
  • optional chopped pecans or orange zest For topping, adds extra flavor and crunch.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Grease or line a mini muffin tin with baking cups.
  • In a bowl, combine softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Unroll the crescent dough and cut each triangle in half.
  • Press each triangle into the muffin cups.

Filling and Baking

  • Spoon about 1 teaspoon of cream cheese filling into each cup, followed by a teaspoon of cranberry sauce.
  • If using, sprinkle chopped pecans or orange zest on top.
  • Bake for 11-13 minutes until golden brown.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

These cranberry bites can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. They freeze well and can be reheated in the oven.
