Equipment

  • Large Skillet

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 12 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle)
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes optional

Instructions

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess grease.
  • Add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until softened and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Stir in the tomato paste and Italian seasoning, cooking for 1 minute to enhance the flavors.
  • Pour in the beef broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  • Add the uncooked bowtie pasta and ensure it’s submerged in the broth. Cover and simmer for 12-15 minutes, or until the pasta is tender.
  • Reduce heat to low and pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Let the sauce thicken slightly.
  • Sprinkle in the Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and creamy.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan and fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

For extra creaminess, add a splash of heavy cream before serving. To spice it up, increase the red pepper flakes.
