  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Perfect for sautéing.

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper Adds warmth and spice.

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add the Italian sausage and cook, breaking it into crumbles, until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Transfer to a plate and set aside.
  • Lower the heat to medium and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and gently simmer, stirring occasionally until it thickens. Sprinkle in the grated parmesan and mix until melted.
  • In a large pot, boil salted water and cook the tortellini according to package instructions. In the last 2-3 minutes of cooking, add the broccoli florets. Drain.
  • Combine the cooked sausage, drained tortellini, and broccoli with the creamy sauce in the skillet. Toss to coat and serve hot.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
