Sauce Ingredients

  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved Fresh tomatoes add sweetness.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Can substitute with half-and-half or non-dairy cream.
  • 1 cup fresh basil, chopped Fresh basil is recommended for best flavor.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Minced garlic adds depth.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For sautéing the garlic.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Season to your preference.
  • to taste Parmesan cheese for serving Optional but recommended.

Cooking Pasta

  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions in boiling salted water for 8-10 minutes until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Preparing the Sauce

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add halved cherry tomatoes and cook for 5-7 minutes until they soften and slightly caramelize.
  • Stir in the heavy cream and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
  • Incorporate cooked pasta and chopped fresh basil into the sauce, tossing to coat evenly.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve hot topped with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Can be frozen for up to 2 months. Reheat on the stove, adding a splash of cream or milk to restore creaminess.
