Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 large yellow onions
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs mixed with seasonings
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  • Slice the onions into rings and separate them.
  • Set up a breading station: place flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a third bowl.
  • Dip each onion ring first into the flour, then into the eggs, and finally into the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring they are well coated.

Cooking

  • Place the onion rings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, spray with cooking spray.
  • Cook for about 10-12 minutes or until golden and crispy, shaking the basket halfway through cooking.

Serving

  • Serve warm as a snack or appetizer with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For extra crunch, use panko breadcrumbs instead of regular breadcrumbs. Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches if necessary for best results. Store leftover onion rings in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
