For the Salmon Bake

  • 4 pieces salmon fillets Fresh salmon is preferred for best flavor.
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese Can substitute with Pecorino Romano if necessary.
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs Panko breadcrumbs can be used for added crunch.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Fresh lemon juice is recommended.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste Adjust seasoning to your preference.
  • Fresh parsley for garnish Add for brightness and flavor.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a bowl, mix the Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Drizzle the salmon fillets with olive oil and lemon juice.
  • Press the Parmesan-breadcrumb mixture onto the top of each salmon fillet, ensuring it’s well coated.
  • Place the salmon on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Cooking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and the crust is golden brown.

Serving

  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For best storage, keep leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator and eat within 2-3 days. Reheat at a low temperature in the oven to maintain crust texture.
