Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
  • cream cheese softened
  • shredded sharp cheddar
  • pepper jelly red or green
  • 1 egg beaten
  • fresh thyme or parsley optional, for garnish

Instructions

  • Unfold the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Gently roll it out to even the surface. Spread a thin layer of cream cheese, then evenly distribute the pepper jelly.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar over the jelly. Roll the pastry tightly into a log, seal the edge, wrap in plastic, and chill for 10–15 minutes.
  • Slice the log into ½-inch pieces and place them in an air fryer basket lined with parchment or sprayed with oil. Leave space between each piece.
  • Brush tops with beaten egg. Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 7–8 minutes until golden and crispy.
  • Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs if desired. Enjoy with extra pepper jelly on the side.

Notes

You can freeze uncooked slices for later and air fry from frozen. Use parchment liners with holes for easier cleanup. Try variations with different cheeses, jellies, or even added meats like prosciutto.
