  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup chopped nuts or pecans (optional) Add for extra crunch

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a crock pot, spread the apple pie filling evenly on the bottom.
  • Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix generously over the apple filling.
  • Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the cake mix.
  • Sprinkle the cinnamon and nuts on top, if using.

Cooking

  • Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours or until the cake is cooked through.

Serving

  • Serve warm, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

To store leftovers, place them in an airtight container for up to 4 days. Leftovers freeze well for up to 3 months.
