  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes (in oil, drained)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional) Adjust based on spice preference.

Preparation

  • Pat the chicken breasts dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  • Sear the chicken in olive oil until golden on both sides (this step is optional but adds nice color).

Cooking

  • In a Crock Pot, add chicken broth, heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, chopped sun-dried tomatoes, and crushed red pepper flakes. Stir until well combined.
  • Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the sauce, ensuring they are well coated.
  • Cook on low for 3.5 to 4 hours, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.

Serving

  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Make sure to pat the chicken dry before seasoning to help the spices stick better. While searing the chicken is optional, it can enhance the flavor and texture of the dish. Feel free to adjust the amount of crushed red pepper flakes based on your spice preference. Experiment with fresh herbs like basil or oregano for added flavor.
