  • 2 lb fully cooked frozen meatballs (beef, chicken, pork, turkey, or veggie)
  • 3/4 cup honey
  • 1 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 4 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves minced garlic (or 1 teaspoon minced garlic in oil)
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Preparation

  • Pour the frozen meatballs into the basin of a 6-quart slow cooker.
  • In a medium bowl, add the honey, soy sauce, ketchup, olive oil, garlic, onion, and red pepper flakes.
  • Stir well to combine and pour the sauce over the meatballs in the slow cooker.
  • Cover and cook on HIGH for 150-180 minutes or LOW for 240-360 minutes.
  • Stir and serve, garnished with sliced green onions if desired.

Notes

These meatballs can be served as an appetizer, over rice for a main course, or in a meatball sub sandwich topped with cheese. Store any leftover meatballs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or freeze them for up to 3 months.
