  • 4 cups rice cereal
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter Can be replaced with almond or sunflower seed butter
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar Add more for extra sweetness if desired
  • 1 cup pink candy melts or colored candies Optional; can be replaced with white chocolate

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, measure the rice cereal.
  • In a saucepan, melt together the chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter over low heat, stirring until smooth.
  • Pour the melted mixture over the rice cereal and stir until evenly coated.
  • Place the coated cereal into a large resealable bag with powdered sugar.
  • Seal the bag and shake until the cereal is coated in powdered sugar.
  • If using, melt the pink candy melts and drizzle over the coated mixture.
  • Allow to cool, then serve or store in an airtight container.

Notes

For freshness, store in an airtight container. Lasts about a week at room temperature. Can be frozen; let thaw at room temperature before serving.
