Fruits

  • 1 can fruit cocktail, drained
  • 1 can mandarin oranges, drained

Mix-Ins

  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup Cool Whip Can substitute with whipped cream
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional) Use for added crunch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, gently mix the drained fruit cocktail and mandarin oranges with the mini marshmallows and shredded coconut.
  • Carefully fold in the Cool Whip until all the ingredients are well combined.
  • If desired, incorporate the optional chopped nuts and the teaspoon of vanilla extract for deeper flavor.
  • Cover the bowl and chill the salad in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
  • Serve the salad straight from the fridge for a cold, refreshing treat.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to a month. The texture may change upon thawing.
