  • 3 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 4 cups mini marshmallows
  • 3 tablespoons butter Ensure well-buttered pan to prevent sticking.
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation

  • In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  • Add the mini marshmallows and stir until completely melted.
  • Remove from heat and mix in the vanilla extract.
  • Add the Rice Krispies cereal to the mixture and stir until evenly coated.
  • If desired, add food coloring to create festive colors.
  • Press the mixture into a greased rectangular pan, using a spatula or your hands.
  • Allow to cool for about 30 minutes.
  • Once set, cut into bars and decorate with sprinkles or other Easter-themed decorations.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 3 to 4 days. Refrigeration may change texture slightly. Customize with chocolate chips or mini eggs for added flavor.
