Shrimp Preparation

  • 1 pound deveined and peeled medium shrimp Ensure shrimp are fully thawed if frozen.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt Adjust to taste.
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper Adjust to taste.

Tortillas

  • 8-10 pieces medium flour tortillas

Preparation

  • Prepare your toppings and ensure the shrimp is fully thawed, peeled, and deveined.
  • In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, ground cumin, chili powder, salt, and ground black pepper.

Cooking

  • In a 14-inch skillet over medium-high heat, add the olive oil and spices to the shrimp.
  • Stir the shrimp around for about a minute until they are evenly coated with the spices.
  • Cook the shrimp, flipping and stirring occasionally, until they are pink and opaque, about 5-6 minutes.

Serving

  • Serve the shrimp immediately with the tortillas and your choice of toppings.

Notes

Make sure the shrimp is fully thawed before cooking. Don’t overcrowd the skillet for even cooking. Adjust spices based on preference. Consider adding mango salsa for extra flavor.
