Ingredients
  

For the Meatballs

  • 1 pound ground beef You can also use ground turkey or chicken.
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley Fresh parsley enhances flavor.
  • 1 whole egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For Assembly

  • Marinara sauce Heat before serving.
  • Sub rolls 4 rolls for 4 servings.
  • Mozzarella cheese To sprinkle on top.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Form the mixture into meatballs.

Cooking

  • Bake meatballs in the oven for 20 minutes, or until cooked through.
  • Warm the marinara sauce in a saucepan.
  • Place cooked meatballs in sub rolls, top with marinara sauce, and sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
  • Return the sandwiches to the oven and bake until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serving

  • Serve hot, ideally with a side salad or crispy potato chips.

Notes

For more flavor, add spices like onion powder or Italian seasoning to the meat mixture. Ensure not to overcook meatballs to keep them juicy. Can substitute BBQ sauce for marinara for different flavor.
