Ingredients
  

Churro Dough Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter can substitute with margarine or coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil for frying

Coating Ingredients

  • to taste sugar for coating after frying
  • to taste cinnamon for coating after frying

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a saucepan, combine water, butter, sugar, and salt; bring to a boil.
  • Stir in flour and baking powder until a dough forms.
  • Let the dough cool slightly, then transfer it to a piping bag.
  • Pipe small bites onto parchment paper.

Cooking

  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Place churro bites in the air fryer basket and lightly spray with oil.
  • Cook for about 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.

Coating

  • In a bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon.
  • Toss churro bites in the sugar mixture right after frying.

Serving

  • Serve warm and enjoy! You can dip them in chocolate sauce or caramel sauce or pair them with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Store leftover churro bites in an airtight container at room temperature for 1-2 days, or refrigerate for up to a week. Let the dough cool a bit before piping for better shape. Adjust the sugar and cinnamon mix to taste.
