Ingredients
  

For the margarita

  • 1.5 cups frozen pineapple Use ripe, sweet frozen pineapple for the best flavor.
  • 4 ounces tequila Feel free to experiment with different liquors, like rum or vodka.
  • 4 ounces pineapple juice Use unsweetened juice if you want to reduce the sweetness.
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice About 2 tablespoons.
  • 2 ounces orange juice Use fresh juice for better flavor.
  • 1 ounce honey, or maple syrup, agave, simple syrup Adjust the sweetness to your taste preference.
  • 4 pieces ice cubes Use about 1 cup worth.

Optional garnishes

  • Chili lime salt For rimming the glasses.
  • Lime wedges For garnish.

Preparation

  • If you'd like to rim your glasses with salt or chili lime salt, pour a few tablespoons into a shallow plate or bowl.
  • Grab a small lime wedge and run it around the top of each glass. Carefully dip each glass, rim side down, into the salt until coated with as much salt as you'd like. Set aside.

Blending

  • Add frozen pineapple, ice cubes, pineapple juice, lime juice, orange juice, natural sweetener, and tequila to a blender and process until smooth.
  • Divide blended margarita between the two salt rimmed glasses and serve immediately with a lime wedge for garnish.

Notes

For the best taste, Frozen Pineapple Margaritas are best served fresh. If you have any leftovers, you can store them in the refrigerator for a few hours. These drinks are great for parties or relaxing on the patio. Avoid freezing the margaritas as ice crystals may form, affecting the texture.
