Main Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups frozen pineapple Use ripe frozen pineapple for best flavor.
  • 1 cup ice cubes Approximately 4 1-inch ice cubes.
  • 4 ounces tequila Use quality tequila for better taste.
  • 4 ounces pineapple juice Opt for 100% fruit juice.
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice Approximately 2 tablespoons.
  • 2 ounces orange juice About 1/4 cup of fresh orange juice.
  • 1 ounce honey or maple syrup Alternatively, use agave or simple syrup.

Optional Garnishes

  • as needed Chili lime salt For rimming the glasses.
  • as needed lime wedges For garnish.

Preparation

  • Prepare your glasses: Run a lime wedge along the rim of each glass, then dip the rim into chili lime salt or regular salt to coat.

Blending

  • In a blender, combine the frozen pineapple, ice cubes, pineapple juice, lime juice, orange juice, your choice of natural sweetener, and tequila. Blend until smooth and creamy, about 30 seconds to 1 minute, scraping down the sides if needed.

Serving

  • Pour the blended margarita mix into the prepared glasses, dividing evenly. Garnish with lime wedges and serve immediately.

Notes

Margaritas are best enjoyed icy cold right after blending. You can store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days, or freeze for later use.
