  • 2 large eggs at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the red velvet cake mix, flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt.
  • Add the melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips if desired.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.

Baking

  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

Best served warm or at room temperature. Dust with powdered sugar or serve with vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to a week.
