Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the thawed hash browns, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, shredded cheddar cheese, melted butter, salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed.
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Top with the crushed potato chips.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is heated through.
  • Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 3-4 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave until heated through. You can make this dish a day in advance; just store it in the refrigerator before baking.
