  • 2 pieces Pork chops Choose chops that are at least 1-inch thick.
  • 2 tablespoons Butter Use unsalted butter for better seasoning control.
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced) Add more or less based on garlic preference.
  • to taste Salt Season well on both sides.
  • to taste Pepper Freshly ground is recommended.
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil For searing the pork chops.
  • optional Fresh herbs (such as thyme or parsley) For garnish.

Preparation

  • Season the pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add the pork chops to the skillet and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they have a golden crust and reach an internal temperature of 145°F.
  • In the last minute of cooking, add butter and minced garlic to the skillet.
  • Spoon the garlic butter over the pork chops as it melts.
  • Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in a skillet or microwave until heated through. Consider adding lemon juice or balsamic vinegar for extra flavor.
