  • 8 ounces linguine or spaghetti Choose your preferred pasta

Shrimp Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined Fresh or thawed if using frozen

Sauce Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons butter Use unsalted butter for better control of salt
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic recommended for best flavor
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes Adjust to taste
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth Can substitute with vegetable broth or white wine
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice Freshly squeezed for optimal flavor
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley For garnish and added freshness
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cook the linguine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Cooking Shrimp

  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and lemon juice, and let simmer for 2-3 minutes.

Combining

  • Toss in the cooked pasta, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  • Serve hot, garnished with extra parsley if desired.

Notes

Pair with crusty bread or a fresh green salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
