Ingredients

For the Steak and Potatoes

  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized pieces Choose ribeye for richer taste or sirloin for a leaner option.
  • 1 lb baby potatoes, halved Soak for 30 minutes before boiling for added creaminess.
  • 4 tablespoons butter Unsalted butter works best.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Use fresh minced garlic for best flavor.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish) Grated Parmesan can also be used for garnish.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large skillet, bring salted water to a boil and add the halved baby potatoes. Cook them for about 10-12 minutes, or until they are tender when pierced with a fork. Drain and set aside.

Cooking

  • Using the same skillet, melt 4 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat until bubbling at the edges.
  • Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute, being careful not to let it burn.
  • Toss in the steak bites, season generously with salt and pepper, and cook for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until browned on all sides and cooked to your preferred level of doneness.
  • Stir in the prepared potatoes, tossing gently to coat them in the garlic butter. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is well heated.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving hot.

Notes

Serve while hot, alongside a garden salad or roasted vegetables. Pair with red wine or iced tea for an enhanced dining experience. Leftovers can be stored for up to 3 days in the refrigerator.
