Garlic Parmesan Cheeseburger Bombs

A fun and tasty twist on classic cheeseburgers, these bites combine garlic, parmesan, and cheeseburger flavors. Perfect for parties or quick dinners!

Ingredients
  

For the filling

  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 500 g ground beef (80/20 preferred)
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • 1/2 cup ketchup or BBQ sauce (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika or chili flakes (optional)
  • 200 g shredded cheddar cheese or cheese cubes e.g., American, mozzarella, or gouda

For the dough

  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 3/4 cup warm water (around 43 degrees C or 110 degrees F)
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough or pizza dough (about 340g)

For the coating

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or 1 tbsp dried
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • to taste Red pepper flakes or Italian seasoning (optional)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  • Add ground beef, season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, and cook until browned (5-7 minutes).
  • Stir in Worcestershire sauce, ketchup or BBQ sauce, and smoked paprika, then simmer for 2 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes.

Dough Making

  • For homemade dough, combine yeast, sugar, and warm water in a bowl, let sit for 5 minutes, then add flour, salt, and olive oil and mix to form dough. Knead for 5 minutes, let rise for 30 minutes, or use refrigerated dough.

Baking

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment. Divide dough into 12-16 portions, flatten them, and place a tablespoon of cooled meat mixture and cheese in the center.
  • Fold dough edges and seal tightly, rolling to form balls.
  • Place seam-side down on the baking sheet and bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
  • Mix melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, and Parmesan for the coating. Brush on finished bombs immediately after baking.

Notes

Serve these cheeseburger bombs warm, straight from the oven. They are great on their own, or you can pair them with dipping sauces like ketchup, mustard, or ranch dressing. Add a side of fresh veggies or a salad for a complete meal.
