  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Additions

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped

Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, combine melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla.
  • Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined.
  • Fold in the chopped strawberries gently.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.

Baking

  • Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Glazing

  • While the bread is cooling, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Drizzle the glaze over the cooled bread and let it set before slicing.

Notes

This bread can be served with whipped cream or ice cream. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 2-3 days or refrigerate for longer storage. Freeze slices for up to 3 months.
