Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and spray lightly with cooking spray.

Melting and Mixing

  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and corn syrup. Stir continuously until the mixture comes to a gentle boil and bubbles at the edges, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. If desired, add food coloring to make it festive.

Combining

  • In a large mixing bowl, fold the gluten-free Chex cereal, mini marshmallows, and chocolate candies into the melted mixture. Be gentle to ensure all pieces are evenly coated.

Baking

  • Pour the mixture onto your prepared baking sheet, spreading it out in an even layer. Bake for 5-7 minutes until it is golden brown and fragrant.

Cooling and Serving

  • Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes before breaking it into pieces.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for about 1 week; refrigerating is not recommended as it can lose crunchiness.
